- Screen streams: AirPlay screen mirroring data received from connected devices
- Recordings: Video files saved locally on your Mac at your specified location
- Connection logs: Device connection information stored locally in Application Support
- Settings: User preferences stored locally
3. Network Communication
AirCapture communicates only within your local network:
- Receives AirPlay streams from iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices
- Advertises receiver slots via Bonjour/mDNS
- No internet connection required
- No data sent to external servers
4. Recordings
When you record screen streams:
- Recordings are saved locally on your Mac
- You control where recordings are stored
- You are responsible for the security and retention of recordings
- Recordings may contain sensitive information – handle accordingly
5. Third-Party Services
AirCapture does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. There are no embedded trackers or data collection mechanisms.
6. Children's Privacy
AirCapture is not specifically designed for children under 13. However, if used in educational settings with minors:
- The app operates entirely locally
- No data is collected or transmitted
- Institutions should ensure appropriate consent and supervision
